The weather has turned hot again so we have found ourselves back in the house for the next few days. Or maybe the rest of the summer. From where I sit, I hear Jon pretending to be a pilot (while sitting at his desk/plane), Jack and Madeline are Wii-ing, and Sarah is down for a nap. I’ve spent the quiet time finishing up some sewing projects. The camera just died so I’ve only one picture to share.
This is the easiest, summery outfit for Sarah. Just a smocky shirt that criss-crosses in the back and matching bloomers. http://delilahsmomma.blogspot.com/2010/05/smocket-pattern-and-tutorial.html I’ve made two so far, using old sheets and scrap fabric from other projects.
Also finished a pair of pj pants for me made from a gifted old sheet. I’m an easy person to buy a gift for evidently. Mended a few odds and ends and fixed the elastic in a pair of Jack’s shorts.
Welcome to my exciting life.
